MPPPA – Miniature Pig & Pet Pig Association of Australia (inc) established in 2007
The MPPPA has established a set of standards & breeding registries for miniature pigs/pigs and pet pigs in Australia.
Registered breeders of the MPPPA agree to the high standard of excellence in animal husbandry set out by the MPPPA and to abide by the laws of their state DPI, also breeders are updated with any new information concerning the welfare of pigs in Australia.
To be registered with the MPPPA miniature pigs are measured, DNA tested and identification by either Tattoo or Rfid tag are required and then this information is kept on a registry for breeding stock & pet pigs to identify registered miniature pigs in Australia.
