" A must for the serious for the Hobby farmer"
As a Hobby Farmers ourselves, we always find in the spring we are inundated with the new season flush of baby poultry. It is one of the December jobs to harvest the many ducks, geese, pigeons & turkeys also When our layers get past their prime it's always nice that they are used to good use as a wonderful chicken soup, not to mention the many roosters in the hatch. All of this produce is used
but
ALL THAT Plukin PLUCKING.
A chicken/poultry Plucker is something I had always wanted but the cost was always prohibitive. Searching the internet showed many home made attempts some worked, some did not, all of them took time to build (most hobby farmers do not have much spare time) and the results were going to be hit or miss anyway. So I have had these machines manufactured to my specifications and it's the one I use & now hire out to other hobby farmers.
Here's the economical & easy way to "dress" your birds -- whether they are chickens, pigeons, ducks, geese or turkeys.
The Plukin Plucker Chicken Plucker works for you by plucking the feathers off poultry in seconds and allows you to enjoy the produce of your hobby harm much more easily.
How to use the Plukin Plucker
Scald the bird as you would for hand plucking. Water temperature is very important, it must be 60 to 65 degrees.
Drop the bird onto the rotating plate. The bird will rotate until the feathers are rubbed off. You're done - even the pin feathers are gone.
While the bird is in the plucker use a water spray to help move the feathers from the tub out through the chute.
I have made a "bird wire" basket to catch the feathers. I then let them dry and put them into the compost bin.
Why a Plukin Plucker Chicken Plucker?
1. Plucks Chickens in just 30 seconds - even the pin feathers
2. fully assembled
3. Stainless steel construction, no plastic
4. Rolled barrel drum with two reinforcing ribs
5. Two drive belts - No work hold-up if a belt breaks
6. Easy to use & maintain - NO sticky wet feathers laying around to dry and blow away. to wash out of plastic tubs
7. Use your chicken plucker to generate "extra cash" - dress birds for your neighbours, friends, etc.
